Orientation programs at WashU provide information and experiences that will help to ease your transition, give you the opportunity to meet others in the WashU community, and make friends before classes have even started.

Orientation programs

All international undergraduate students are expected to arrive on campus early for International Undergraduate Orientation.


First-year international undergraduate students

If you are entering WashU as a first-year international student, you are required to attend First-year International Student Orientation.


International transfer and exchange undergraduate students

If you are entering WashU as an international exchange student or international transfer student, move-in and orientation sessions plus other assistance are provided for you.

You are also required to attend Transfer & Exchange Fall Orientation or Winter Welcome from Student Transitions & Engagement.


International Parent and Family Orientation

International parents and families are invited to participate in orientation programming as they arrive on campus with their students.


International graduate student orientation programs

Orientation programming for all new international graduate students who begin a university program at the beginning for fall, spring or summer semesters.
